I am writing hereunder my synopsis for the short movie.

 

 

Paintings :Walls - Streets, Wars - Passports …..

 

Two French ladies sharing the same home in old Damascus – Syria in summer 2006 . one is 49 ( and she insists more then once that she is not 50 – and we will come to know finally why she were that stubborn about her accurate years age), and the other one is  24 .

 

During there presence their they are discovering the culture . While Jeanne who is 24 is so preventive . Sylvie who is 49 is so open . what made Jeanne so conservative ? what made Sylvie so passionate ?

Sylvie belong to the communist party, she is a pretty, smart, activist and wild woman,  while Jeanne had received last year her first catholic inspirations after long struggle with ( . . .) and magnified Jessus and herd his words directly in her ears, she is fighting for good quality education and she is taking all the risiks associated with this from financial ones to going abroad alone .

 

During their stay they argue about Syria and life . each from her own perspective to life. In one incident, Jeanne never want to be forced to step over the Israeli flag who were drawn on the street floor near her rented old house, and she decide to walk side by side to the wall , while Sylvie refuse to do so and go straightly and talk to the young man who draw it there.

  

During their stay here, both of them meet a Palestinian refugee ( 32 years old ) whose parents came to Syria as refugees in 1948 . The Palestinian guy spend hours with them consecutively talking about politics and religion. They got to know about martyers and he got to know about ( maudite soit la guerre ) and ( Jetter le be'be' avec l'eau du bain )

While neighboring Lebanon is being bombed by Israeli flights . before they leave he gave Sylvie two books and Two CDs, and he gave Jeanne one CD, what they were about?

 

They leave Sylvie send him a drawings book about identity on the wall paints in France.

Just when he started loving France, and started planning to go there to study the culture and language, he was faced by the shocking fact “ traveling to France is hard for Arabs, even as students, in these times “

 

 

once upon my life time there was an apple . a green fresh apple .

 

 

and I used to love her a lot . indeed, I spent two days watchig it . playing with it and then ...

 

I eat it .

 

the moment i eat it there was no apple anymore ..

 

i lived it .part of me became an apple .

 

 

 

love , live , become . and be grateful

 

 

 

 

 

I need wisdom that enables me to stand stupid people .

 

I need the wisdom that makes me never get arrogant with what I know .

 

I need the wisdom that enables me to be strong but not angry, wild but not agressive, fighter without hurting anyone.

 

I need the wisdom so that I know how to use my knowledge to contribute

 

I need the wisdom to spend the forgiveness always

 

and I need it to recognize my blesses when they are here and not after so many years

 

I need it to indulge myself descently

 

I need wisdom to realize the cracks in things and respect them

 

and wait a minute, I need wisdom to love profoundly .

I need it to dare to respect my enemy for his good actions .

 

I need the wisdom . . . . and maybe that's why i have it :P :)

 

 

For the past eight years i have been saying the same sentence " Syrian Business Men Needs a course in Business ".

 

Today this proved to be so valid .

 

 

I have an interview at Junior Chamber Internation ( JCI ) Damascus -  Syria  offices . The Reason ? A friend of mine who is a JCI very active member gave me a ring at my mobile few days ago and said " Why didn't you apply for the Creative buisness competion? You need to "

I thought about it for two days and then 10 minutes before the closign hour i managed to apply .

 

My business was" cultural industries services company" . and the srvices where clearly categorized as following : cultural events - cultural and artisic studies - and consultance and services to artists that goes from how to write an effective sponsorship proposal to producing a difital announcement about their work and who they are.

 

 

At 12:30 was my meeting , due to my miscalcualtion i needed to be there 12:35, BUT i was very much sure that i HAVE to pay for this lateness some marks . well, in practice, this didnt happen .

 

Why ? because i needed to wait untill 13:00 to enter for the interview .

 

and here is the good news. he moment i stepped in I saw a familiar face " Mr. Fira Bakour " a very descent and respectful man who is into the IT business in Syria . shakign hands sitting . three of them are here . and i recognize one face who i already smilled to him ( offcourse from my deeps). then i hear the follwoing :

 

One of the other two ( supposedly business men ) : "i am too late i got to go "

and then the other ( MOREE supposedly businees man ): " No, wait a minute we have only two candidates and we will finish with each one in five minutes " . PAS shocking enough yet .

 

and Guess what , ??? Bilal ( who happenes to be Myself ) was so peaceful . he didnt comment . basicly becuse of the respect he has twards Mr. Bakour . but ( Mr. Bakour even didnt comment - !!! )

 

 

7 minutes and they kicked me out .

 

Now are you telling me my business was not valid AT ALL ! ? Maybe but then why did they call me IN .

 

Why did they let me wait double the amount of the time i am having to explain .

If you want to divide 7 minutes on 4 how much time do you expect each one share would be .

 

 

and I realy felt that i was desceived . treated badly and with the minimal amount of respect, and for what ? I will tell you for what . Just to continue the SHOW of JCI project . and to mention all these INTERVIEWS with BIG FONT in Press .

 

Whatever the result is . i might win the first prize, I might not be amongst the first three . whatever the first result is . this is not fair . and this is less human than expected .

 

DOT.

 

Point.

 

 

 

 

Cutting the roots of terrors was one of the main UNLIKE the other studies i went through in my usual trips of exploration , categorization and coding .

 

And it basicaly calls for cutting the roots of terrors BY: " minimizing the options of terrorists to recruit more members "

 

that was a realy full part .

 

 

Now the empty part was when it came to ( HOW ?) - as usual no logical and applicable answers were there.

 

Because i have been in a watching and down-noting status for a couple of years with regard to this issue . i will not project here my answers to this realy basic ( how ? ) when they are not riped enough yet .

 

 

But my single note here is that we need to take an international collective action towards repecting religions . the attitude of disregarding religions and the attitude of the no need to know is realy dangerous enough .

 

 

for those who don't belive in god it is very obvious for there counters who beleive in god to know what these (( non - believers )) - ((beleive )). However, for those who (( believe in god )) it is realy so much hard for those who (( dont beleive in god )) to REALY ( in capital letters ) to KNOW ( againg with using the SHIFT key ) what they REALY (( beleive in )).

 

 

you can't staudy and evaluate adopting a religion or belief as you study adopting a product . you need to counter your whole focal of concetration . for with marketing products and services who maters first are those who are not buying and how to make them buy . in religion who matters more are those who already bought - in this religion and HOW, WHY, WHEN they bought it in .

 

 

for in religion . wrong buying - in can be destructive .

 

let us re-think adoptation when talking terrorisim !

 

 

Should Islamophobia be categorized as a standing alone discrimination form ?

 

If not so then what about anti-Semitic ?

 

 

If yes then would be just another terminology like " Palestinian refugees " ?

 

 

Hard to tell without extensive exploration to the subject area .

 

 

 

La France t'embrasse Ou j'embrasse la Fance ! which one convey a better country marketing attitude  ?

 

 

tough branding question

 

 

while i am working on my article to be published next month . i was faced by a hard question . a hypothetical one!

 

if you were in charge of a french commitee that is devoted to market france ( touritic wise at least ), and you were faced by one of two slogns / taglines options by two advertising agencies who were on the list . which of the following two slogans would you choose . noting that they did the research homework very accurately .

 

 

the first one is : La France t'embrasse .

 

the second one is : j'embrasse la Fance .

rub it more .. no no i mean your head not that thingy !

 

ok . not sure yet .? here is my advise think the following :

 

You want to signal out a warm welcoming message, or a call for a proactive attitude one ?
